Peter is a Producer and Songwriter based in Buckinghamshire with over 20,000 independent album sales and over 650,000 Spotify streams. He began playing the electric guitar at the age of 13, followed by bass and drums during his time at Watford College. He added acoustic guitar to his instrumental range in 2012.
After graduating with a 1st Class Degree in Music Production from Bucks New University in 2011 and winning the prestigious JAMES award along the way (Outstanding Achievement Award from JAMES, the Joint Audio Media Education Services Association), Peter was appointed an Associate Lecturer and Studio Supervisor.
Peter has successfully engineered and produced music in France and Germany while working alongside many big names. He has run sessions for Producers such as Steve Levine and Mike Paxman, and has worked alongside mixing engineers such as Jack Joseph Puig and John Cornfield. His production portfolio now includes artists such as singer-songwriter Hattie Briggs (also featuring as a co-writer), Uriah Heep, Like Lovers, The Jar Family, Molly McQueen, Adam Isaac, Damian Cox, New Bays, Global Antix, Emma Ballantine, and he has also co-written songs with others including up and coming singer-songwriter Demi Louise.
In 2014, Peter recorded 3 records: for Uriah Heep (album, Outsider, released June 2014), Hattie Briggs (album, Red & Gold, released April 2015), and New Bays (EP Reckless, released May 2015) and completed the recording of his first in 2015 for Emma Ballantine (EP, Tourist released July 2015) at Monnow Valley.
Peter has the ability to create a massive multi-dimensional sound while never missing or forgetting the needs and ideas of creative individuals. He brings an intensity and a real sense of perfection to his production work and his skill at making music sound natural allows artists to explore new possibilities while still maintaining authenticity.
He has had over 650,000 streams on Spotify of work he has engineered, produced and written. Hattie Briggs's album achieved No.1 on the Amazon UK Folk Charts and received various 5 star reviews. Uriah Heep's album officially charted in Germany, Finland, Holland and Belgium and Emma Ballantine's EP got into the UK iTunes Top 20.
In parallel with his burgeoning freelance production career, he has been running recording studio workshops at the Sennheiser Sound Lab, the University's flagship studio. He is an expert on Pro Tools, Recording Techniques and Multichannel Mixing and has been teaching these to all 3 years of the Music Production Degree for four years. He has also taught at West Herts College.
